At Utopia, literature is the starting point for
talks, workshops, shows, activities for schools, literary tours
and much more over the course of 11 days.
Braga is the city hosting Utopia. The cultural policies that make this city the Portuguese Capital of Culture in 2025 have a special focus on literature. The work the city has been doing with schools and cultural activities in connection with books now has a new and relevant ally: Utopia. The literary festival emerges with the clear mission of presenting and affirming itself as a global brand of events, born in the youngest district capital in Portugal.
Utopia is a project by The Book Company, a part of the greatest publishing group in the world: Penguin Random House. With over 15 years of experience, it is the leading company in the design and executive production of literary events in the country. It has produced hundreds of cultural and literary events from the north to the south of Portugal, with a portfolio that features several incursions abroad, namely the executive production of Portugal´s presence as Guest of Honour at FIL Guadalajara in 2018, as well as events in Cape Verde, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Poland and participation in Creative Europe projects.
